The story01 / Film concept

A love that refuses to let go. A body that should never have been put back together.

A mother's love.

Deep in the Appalachian backwoods, Richard is desperately trying to rebuild his dead mother — one stolen body part at a time. When Valeria falls into his world, escape becomes a struggle against a warped family bond, terrifying devotion and the thing waiting at the heart of the house.

MOTHER is imagined as a brutal, proudly independent horror feature, steeped in the grime of retro VHS and grindhouse cinema. The intention is to realise its horrors with hands-on practical effects, physical performances and an uncomfortably intimate atmosphere.

The proof of concept02 / Watch

Watch the sizzle.

A first taste of the film's analogue ugliness and practical-effects ambition. This is a concept presentation, not a completed feature or an announcement of financing.

The creative intention03 / Behind the lens
Craft

Practical first

Creature work, prosthetics and physical effects, allowing the audience to feel the weight and texture of the horror.

Visual language

Analogue menace

A raw, retro-tinged look — close, claustrophobic and deliberately unpolished where the film needs it most.

Story

Family as terror

A grotesque story of possession, loneliness and love pushed into truly monstrous territory.
