Stories for the screen, the page and the unexplained.
Filmmaker / Author / Paranormal Investigator / Educator
A glimpse into the worlds I've created. Drama, atmosphere, character and the moments that stay with you long after the screen goes dark.
I’m Jamie Weston. A British filmmaker, writer and creative educator drawn to vivid characters, forgotten histories and things that refuse to stay unexplained. My work travels between the film set, the written page and the places where folklore meets reality.

From BFI Film Academy programmes to creative projects with Signals, schools and community partners, I help people turn imagination into finished work. Film, stop motion, animation, storytelling, and the practical confidence to start.

The work doesn't end when the cameras stop. I bring people, places and ambitious ideas together through cultural events, creative management, heritage projects and public-facing communications.
Essex Film Collective networking and festival activity, museum events, creative programming and community-led experiences.
Duty management at Firstsite, project delivery at Signals and the behind-the-scenes organisation that keeps creative spaces running.
Digital strategy, content production and social communications, including work with Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham.

Director. Producer. Writer. Author. Investigator. Educator. They're not separate lives. They're different ways of following the same question: what makes a story worth telling?
Growing up on the Essex coast, I found myself drawn to history, old buildings and the stories people leave behind. That curiosity now runs through everything I do: independent films, books, the Bethnal Archives, creative education and cultural work.
There have been festival screenings, broadcast films and long days on set. But what matters to me most is making something worth sharing.
